This fabulous regular came in today. Her old balayage was faded, a bit bright (orange!) and desperately needed help. Telling me she loved either copper or red, I mixed up a couple of colours, did a sassy cut and boom! Back of the net! She was thrilled and I’m delighted we totally nailed it. Urghhh, we only had a power cut! And I was half way through a head of highlights 😱 So we had to drink wine as we waited it out. Luckily this fab and kind and fun and sweet and hideously clever girlie (a regular) wasn’t too fussed and we finished at blinking 10.30pm. She was so kind and let me just do a rough dry. Moving over from scalp bleaches to highlights? I applaud you! I absolutely get get that some of you want to look like Maralyn but oh boy, your hair will suffer. Scalp bleaches are brutal and definitely not a long term solution. This fabulous young lady came in and made the switch to highlights. Oh boy - don’t play with bleach kids! This really lovely girl came in after a few too many sessions (and I’m not talking about wine) and realised her hair had “had it”. She totally accepted she needed a proper chop and also wanted to go a lot darker. For those not in the know, this is a two step process - just plonking dark dye into such light hair isn’t going to work. Anyway, long story short, job done. Her very attractive bf turned up to pick her up and immediately said “you look beautiful!” Hopefully this’ll be the start of a fabulous hair story where we can start an exciting and healthy hair adventure 💕.
